The Electrical Insulation Mat (also known as a Switchboard Mat) is a high-dielectric-strength rubber safety mat designed to protect personnel working near live, high-voltage electrical equipment. Placed on the floor in front of switchboards, control panels, transformers, and substations, it acts as a non-conductive barrier between the worker and the ground — preventing electric current from passing through the body in the event of a fault or accidental contact.
Available in multiple voltage classes and supplied in black, orange, and blue to indicate class rating, these mats comply with international standards IEC 61111 and ASTM D178 — making them a mandatory safety requirement in electrical installation and maintenance environments.
