About This Tool
Description
The Rover Backer Rod Installer is a walk-behind machine that dramatically speeds up the installation of polyethylene foam backer rod in horizontal saw-cut and expansion joints. A single operator pushes the Rover forward and it continuously feeds and seats backer rod directly from a mounted spool — at a precise, consistent depth — covering large floor areas in a fraction of the time compared to manual hand insertion.
Built for heavy-duty site use with an all-steel frame, it is the go-to machine for airports, warehouses, highways, and large-scale concrete floor projects where hundreds of linear metres of joint need to be filled efficiently.
