About This Product
Description
PU Sealant (Polyurethane Sealant) is a single-component, moisture-curing elastomeric sealant that delivers outstanding adhesion, flexibility, and long-term durability across a wide range of construction substrates. Once applied, it reacts with ambient moisture to form a tough, permanently elastic seal that accommodates structural movement, resists weathering, and remains watertight over its service life.
Unlike silicone sealants, cured PU sealant is fully paintable, bonds strongly to porous materials such as concrete and masonry, and offers superior mechanical and abrasion resistance — making it the professional's choice for demanding construction and infrastructure sealing applications.
What It Does
Key Features
- Single-component, moisture-curing — no mixing required; simply apply from cartridge or sausage pack using a standard caulking gun
- Exceptional adhesion to concrete, metal, wood, masonry, glass, ceramic, and PVC — with or without primer on most substrates
- High elasticity with ±25% joint movement capability — absorbs thermal expansion, vibration, and structural settlement without cracking
- Fully paintable once cured — compatible with most water-based and two-component paints for clean architectural finishes
- Resistant to weathering, UV exposure, rain, and temperature fluctuations — maintains performance in both exposed and submerged conditions
- Available in self-levelling grade (for horizontal floor joints) and non-sag grade (for vertical and overhead joints)
- Low-VOC, solvent-free formulations available — suitable for enclosed spaces and environmentally sensitive applications
